Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are set to work together again for yet another series. A variety of reports suggest that the two will be working on Netflixs first Pakistan-themed Original. The show will be starring some of the big names of the Pakistani entertainment industry.Following the major success of their 2022 film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, Fawad and Mahiras comeback is stirring a lot of excitement among fans. Their new Netflix series will be titled as Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, as reported by Variety.The story will be an adaptation of the 2013 bestselling Urdu-language novel of Farhat Ishtiaq.More on the new seriesThe movie is set to revolve around a Harvard law student Sikandar, who witnesses a life-altering incident leading him to distance himself from others, and a talented artist Liza, who is burdened with a troubled past and the encounter of the two unfold in Italy as per reports.Meet The PairFawad Khan & Sanam Saeed will be playing opposite to each other in #JBHSSL#Netflixs first Pakistani Web Series.#FawadKhan #SanamSaeed pic.twitter.com/JwLEIKOqzi— Hasan Kazmi (@hasankazmi_) August 23, 2023According to reports the show is being produced by Momina Duraid Films and has been commissioned by the Netflix Middle East and North Africa team.Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, and Ahad Raza Mir are reported to be the lead cast with Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Maya Ali, Iqra Aziz, Hania Aamir, Khushaal Khan, Nadia Jamil, Omair Rana and Samina Khan as supporting characters.Fawad and Mahira Fawad and Mahira had previously worked together in the popular Pakistani television show Humsafar which is also based on Farhat Ishtiaqs novel. Apart from Humsafar, the two actors were also seen in Bilal Lasharis action film from last year, The Legend of Maula Jatt. It was an adaptation of the 1979 Pakistani classic Maula Jatt. The Punjabi film, made on a budget of ₹45 crore, went on to make a total box office collection of ₹300 crore in its lifetime. This made it the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. In India, Fawad made his entry into Bollywood with his 2014 Khoobsurat co-starring Sonam Kapoor. Later on, he also played significant roles in movies such as Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Mahira Khan on the other hand has starred in only one Bollywood project alongside Shah Rukh Khan in his 2017 film Raees.The new Pakistani Netflix series is currently being shot in Italy, the UK, and Pakistan. There has been no news of the official release date yet.
