Angus Cloud, a cast member of the HBO teen drama series ‘Euphoria,’ passed away on Monday at the age of 25, only days after losing his father, according to a statement released by his family.

In the show, Zendaya played Rue Bennett, a tough drug dealer with a strong moral code, and Cloud played Fezco.

The family gave no particulars about the death. Though statement said that Cloud had some mental health issues and also he was deeply affected by his father’s death. Family stated that Cloud was very close to his father who was laid to rest last week.

“Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the statement read.

According to the sources, Cloud had five additional acting credits, but his breakout performance came in the 2019 film ‘Euphoria,’ which shows a group of California high school teenagers navigating sex, drugs, and violence.

Sharing it through social media, Euphoria group tweeted, “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”

The show aired for two full seasons in 2019 and 2022, plus a pair of special episodes in 2020 and 2021, with a third season set for 2025, as per sources.
