Elvish Yadav Detained During Police Blockade

The detention took place in Kota, Rajasthan, where a police blockade was enforced, reportedly due to the upcoming state elections. Elvish Yadav happened to be passing through the area at the time. Upon encountering the blockade, he attempted to evade the situation. However, his escape efforts were in vain as the Suket Police of Kota district swiftly took him into custody.

Previous Speculation About Elvish's Whereabouts

Before this incident, there were speculations that Elvish Yadav was in hiding, with rumours placing him in various locations, particularly in Mumbai. His last known location was traced to a hotel in Mumbai, but it was reported that he had left the hotel on a Friday afternoon.

Elvish Yadav and the Snake Venom Case

The controversy deepened as an FIR (First Information Report) was filed against Elvish Yadav in connection with a rave party held in Noida, Sector 49. The event had led to the arrest of Elvish and five of his associates, including Rahul, Titunath, Narayan, Ravinath, and Jaikaran. This joint operation involved the Drugs Department, Forest Department, and Noida Police.

The police raids uncovered an alarming discovery - nine snakes, including five cobras, and snake venom were found at the scene. An FIR was filed under various wildlife and IPC sections. It mentioned the discovery of 20 ml of snake venom and nine venomous snakes, comprising cobras, a python, a two-headed snake, and a rat snake.

The case was initiated and pursued by an NGO associated with BJP leader Maneka Gandhi, adding further layers to the controversy.

Elvish Yadav's Response

In response to the allegations, Elvish Yadav shared a video statement on Instagram. He strongly denied any wrongdoing and expressed his readiness to cooperate with the police investigation.

He stated, "All the accusations against me are baseless and utterly untrue. Please refrain from tarnishing my reputation. I am fully prepared to collaborate with the UP Police in their investigation. If even the slightest fraction of these allegations turn out to be accurate, I will take full responsibility."
