Before the inception of the prestigious award form, Halle bumped into Adrien on the red carpet, and the two participated a kiss that continently sparked recollections of their iconic 2003 Oscars moment.

Halle looked visibly surprised.

The moment was captured on camera and participated by The Academy on social media, reminding suckers of the night when Adrien famously kissed Halle on stage. For those unversed, back in 2003, he'd rushed on stage to accept his Oscar for Stylish Actor for his part in Roman Polanski's The Pianist, and in a robotic move, planted a passionate kiss on Halle, who looked visibly surprised.
