Deb Mukherjee’s passing: Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, others attend funeral of Ayan Mukerji’s father

The production community learned about the death of Ayan Mukerji's father Deb Mukherjee who was a veteran actor. His illness resulted in hospital admission when he turned 83 years old. Mukherjee appeared in numerous films that included Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, King Uncle, Kaminey and additional works.

The actor is a father to Sunita Gowariker and Ayan Mukerji. The mothers of Sunita and Ayan share different partners but both have remained in the family as half-siblings. Deb had got married twice.
