The police says that if the accused gets bail, there is every possibility of him fleeing to Bangladesh. This will not only affect the investigation but he can again commit a major crime. The police also said that there is strong evidence against the accused and considering the severity of the crime, releasing him can be a threat to the society.

The accused declared himself innocent

The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, had filed a bail plea in the Mumbai Sessions Court on March 29. In his defence, he said that he is innocent and has been framed in a false case. The accused also claimed that there is not enough evidence against him.

How was Saif Ali Khan attacked?

This incident happened on the morning of January 16, when Saif Ali Khan was present in his Bandra house. It is alleged that Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad entered his son Jeh's room and attacked Saif with a knife. Saif was seriously injured in this attack. Doctors also removed a broken knife part of about 2.5 inches from Saif's body.

Six wounds were found on Saif's body

According to reports, a total of six wounds were found on Saif's body in this attack, two of which were extremely dangerous and were near his spine. Despite this, Saif showed courage and went to the hospital himself along with his son Taimur and got treatment.

Charge sheet has not been filed yet

At present, this case is going on in the Badra Magistrate Court. As soon as the police files the charge sheet, this case will be transferred to the Sessions Court. The charge sheet has not been submitted yet.. The police is trying its best to ensure that the accused does not get bail so that the case can be investigated impartially and the accused cannot commit any serious crime again.
