Social media star Puneet Superstar, who shot to national fame after becoming the first person to be evicted from Bigg Boss OTT 2 within 24 hours, has been trending after his Instagram account was reportedly blocked by the platform.

When fans of Puneet Superstar, whose real name is Puneet Kumar, tried to access his account, they were greeted with the message, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed…”

‘Lord’ Puneet Superstar, as his fans call him, is a bonafide star on Instagram because of his bizarre sense of humour, which sees him do hilarious antics on video, such as rubbing two tubes of toothpaste on his face and pouring a bottle of mouthwash on his head.

Puneet Superstar account suspended; Internet divided over reaction

Puneet Superstar’s bizarre sense of humour has long divided opinions, with some hailing him as a comedic genius, while others calling his content ‘cringe’. One of those was fellow Bigg Boss star, rapper MC Stan, who called Puneet’s content ‘cringe-worthy’ in the reality show.

After Puneet’s exit, he posted a long video on his Instagram account, where he criticised both the reality show and MC Stan, who was a panellist in the opening episode of the show. In the video, Puneet said, “Let Bigg Boss go to hell. I don’t need anyone. Puneet Superstar was a star and will remain one.”

After his account got blocked, many ‘Lord’ fans accused the ‘fan army’ of MC Stan being behind the alleged mass reporting that led to the removal of the account by Instagram.

Many fans celebrated the removal of the comedian’s account, writing, “Happy [about the removal]… there is a lot going on in the world apart from his madness.”

One of the more moderate comments read, “Never liked the guy, but I believe Instagram should be a platform for all.”
