Comedian Cyrus Broacha is out of Bigg Boss OTT 2 due to a ‘medical emergency’, the makers of the reality show have confirmed.
In the latest episode of the ongoing Bigg Boss OTT season, Broacha was summoned to the confession room by Bigg Boss, who informed him that his family has requested the show to get him out of the house because of a medical emergency in his family. It was soon announced that Bigg Boss allowed Broacha to make an emergency exit on humanitarian grounds.
The exit was confirmed by a statement from the Bigg Boss makers, who said, “Cyrus Broacha had to take an emergency exit from ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ due to a sudden medical emergency in the family. As per Cyrus and his family’s request, we request you to allow privacy and understanding during this difficult period.”
The announcement of the exit made the other contestant emotional, and Bebika Dhurve shed tears. It remains unclear whether Broacha will return to the show at a future time or not.
Prior to his recent exit, Broacha had been requesting Bigg Boss and host Salman Khan for a week to be let out from the house. He claimed that he is ‘formally depressed’, and blamed it on the lack of food and proper sleep inside the house.
“Oh god, I really can’t take it any more. I am just physically finished, sir. My body has lost weight. While you are talking I am not even listening after a time. My diabetes had started going back in the wrong direction. I am begging them [Bigg Boss makers] to just let me out. I am not even contributing any more, I am just like a dead soul over here now,” Broacha told Salman Khan.
However, Salman denied his request, saying that it is not possible to quit the show mid-way because he has signed a contract.
“I know, Cyrus. It’s just another four to five weeks and the entire nation is watching you. Listen, bro, I cannot get you out of this place. And I get you out, then I have to get so and so people out of this house. You can’t, because it is against the contract, and the other thing is to take this as your work, bro. I don’t think even the channel can get you out of it because you have signed the contract. Whatever is on your contract is what you have signed! It doesn’t work like this, the show doesn’t work as per your whims and fancies,” Salman replied.
Other than Cyrus Broacha’s exit, the latest episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2 saw contestants Bebika Dhurve, Manisha Rani, Falaq Naaz, Pooja Bhatt, and Avinash Sachdev being nominated. They will face challenges and tasks to survive eviction and continue their journey in the upcoming episodes.
