Pandit P Khurana, father of Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana, and a well-known astrologer, passed away at a private hospital in Mohali. He had been unwell for the past few days. The last rites of P Khurana will be conducted later today.

The spokesperson for Aparshakti Khurana released a statement confirming the unfortunate demise of their father, Astrologer P Khurana. The statement expressed deep sadness and informed that he passed away at 10:30 am in Mohali due to a prolonged incurable ailment. The spokesperson expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during this time of personal loss.

Ayushmann Khurrana was known for sharing heartfelt moments with his parents on social media. In an old post, the actor expressed his affection for his father, referring to him as his “friend.” He credited his father for instilling discipline in him and nurturing his love for music, poetry, films, and art. While his father studied law, he was always fascinated by astrology, which influenced Ayushmann’s name with the double Ns and double Rs. Moreover, his father also taught him the belief in carving one’s own destiny, emphasising the power of good karma over fortune-telling. Ayushmann fondly described his father as his friend, philosopher, and guide.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s most recent film appearance was in Anubhuti Kashyap’s “Doctor G,” where he starred alongside Rakul Preet Singh. The film was released in theatres on October 14, 2022, and received a mixed response from audiences and critics. The actor’s upcoming project includes the highly anticipated “Dream Girl 2,” in which he will be sharing the screen with Ananya Panday. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film is expected to be a comedy entertainer. It is scheduled to hit theatres on July 7, later this year.
