Entertainment: Angelina Jolie has once again launched a scathing attack on her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, amid their ongoing legal dispute. In a recently accessed court filing, Jolie accused Pitt of putting his career above their family’s well-being, claiming she had silently borne the burden for years. The allegations surfaced in a lawsuit concerning the sale of their French winery, Château Miraval, which has become the latest battleground for the former Hollywood power couple.
Following years of a contentious divorce battle, Jolie and Pitt officially finalized their separation in 2019. However, their legal disputes have persisted, with the current lawsuit revolving around Jolie’s sale of her 50% stake in Château Miraval—a move Pitt claims violated their agreement.
According to reports from InTouch Weekly, Jolie filed a response to Pitt’s lawsuit on January 17, shedding light on a previously undisclosed condition Pitt allegedly tried to impose. She claimed that Pitt sought to include a new non-disparagement clause—one that would bar her from speaking about his alleged abuse of both her and their children, referencing under-seal court documents related to their divorce.
In her court filing, Jolie did not hold back in criticizing Pitt’s priorities, stating that he consistently put his career above their family’s needs.
"His actions caused the family years of unnecessary painful stress, and the cumulative toll was immense. Still, [Angelina] did her best to shoulder that burden placed not only on her but on their children, and she never publicly discussed [Brad’s] actions," Jolie stated in her filing.
She further alleged that despite Pitt’s past actions, he has never publicly denied the accusations against him, adding another layer of controversy to their already high-profile separation.
Jolie and Pitt’s relationship has been the subject of intense media scrutiny since its inception. The pair first met while filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005, a time when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Their highly publicized affair led to an outpouring of criticism, though they eventually became one of Hollywood’s most celebrated couples.
The duo tied the knot in 2014, but just two years later, Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their legal separation was finalized in 2019, but disputes over custody and financial assets—including Château Miraval—have continued to fuel their courtroom battles.
As legal tensions continue to escalate, this latest development raises questions about how the court will rule on the winery dispute and whether Jolie’s accusations will impact Pitt’s legal standing. With six children caught in the crossfire, their ongoing feud remains one of Hollywood’s most controversial legal sagas.
