In the wake of a deepfake video featuring Rashmika Mandanna making rounds on social media, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has called for immediate legal action.

The video portrays a woman, dressed in black attire, entering an elevator, but her visage has been digitally manipulated to resemble the popular actress.

The dissemination of this fabricated video has raised concerns about the rampant proliferation of "untrustworthy" content on the internet, prompting senior Bachchan to endorse the necessity for legal recourse.

The original video, starring a British-Indian woman named Zara Patel, who boasts a substantial following on social media, was uploaded on October 9. Upon a cursory glance, distinguishing the manipulated portrayal of Rashmika Mandanna in the video becomes quite challenging, making it susceptible for social media users to be deceived.

However, upon closer scrutiny, one can discern the moment the woman steps into the elevator, her countenance undergoes an abrupt transformation into that of the 'Goodbye' actress.

Remarkably, Rashmika Mandanna has yet to issue a response in relation to this incident.

Consequently, a significant number of individuals have expressed their shock and called for swift action by the relevant authorities to address the dissemination of deepfake content.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna shares a great relationship with Amitabh Bachchan, as the two actors recently were seen in a family drama Goodbye.
