Superstar Allu Arjun has publicly expressed gratitude to a Bollywood filmmaker for postponing their movie’s release, ensuring that Pushpa 2: The Rule had an uncontested run at the box office on December 6, 2024. Although Arjun did not name the film, it is widely speculated that he was referring to Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which was originally scheduled for the same date. At the success meet of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad on Saturday, Arjun shared how the filmmaker graciously accommodated his request to reschedule the release. "I called up a filmmaker from Hindi cinema—I don’t prefer the term Bollywood. They were also supposed to release their film on December 6, but they were very accommodating. I thanked them, and they said, ‘We are all fans of Pushpa, and if you come, we will make way for it.’” The National Award-winning actor also acknowledged the support of all Indian film industries, emphasizing the pan-Indian impact of Pushpa 2.

He also thanked his co-stars, including Rashmika Mandanna, for her impactful role as Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil, for his powerful performance as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Every department, from cinematography to music, for their contribution to the film’s success. Pushpa 2 has shattered records, amassing over ₹1,800 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

Allu Arjun’s tribute to director Sukumar

Arjun credited director Sukumar as the visionary force behind the Pushpa franchise. “Behind Pushpa's success, there is only one man—Sukumar.
