Actor Akshay Kumar recently organised an exclusive screening of his upcoming movie ‘OMG 2’ for yoga guru and writer Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev at the Isha Yoga Center in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore.

After the screening, Sadhguru commended the film, saying that it educates ‘young people on how to handle their bodily need’. Sharing a video of the meeting with the Bollywood star, Sadhguru wrote, “Namaskaram @akshaykumar. Wonderful having you here at the Isha Yoga Center & learning about ‘Oh My God -2’. Educating young people on how to handle their bodily needs is most essential if we want to cultivate a society that is sensitive to the safety & dignity of its women. It is time our education system focuses on equipping our youth to handle their body, mind & emotions rather than being purely information oriented.”

Akshay Kumar replied, writing, “Namaskaram @SadhguruJV. Was an absolute honour to visit the Isha Yoga Center. I had one of the best experiences ever. Thank you for watching OMG 2 and for your insightful, kind feedback. Means so much to me and my entire team that you liked and blessed our effort.”

‘OMG 2’ certificate should include adolescents: Sadhguru

Sadhguru further highlighted his appreciation of ‘OMG 2’, saying that the film should be shown to adolescents. The film has recently acquired an ‘A – Adults Only’ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), marking Akshay Kumar’s first film in 12 years to receive such a rating.

“‘A’ Certificate in this case should include Adolescents. That’s where it matters most. Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved,” he tweeted.

In response, Akshay wrote, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV . Hope the message reaches far and wide, in the right spirit.”

‘OMG 2’, directed by Amit Rai and starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, has garnered attention for its portrayal of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva’s messenger.

The trailer of the film showcases Akshay Kumar in the role of a messenger of Lord Shiva, and it also features Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of Ramayan fame. The film, which serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit film ‘OMG: Oh My God!’, is set to hit theatres on August 11.
