Adipurush has hit the cinemas and how! The film is close to collecting ₹150 crore on Day 1. Om Raut is the director of the movie starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and others.

There are mixed responses from the public on the movie. Some fans are rejoicing, some people are furious. Since its release, Adipurush has been trending on Twitter, and not all for good reasons. Adipurush is grabbing people’s attention. There are memes, criticisms, angry videos and what not. Amid all this, Prem Sagar, son of Ramanand Sagar, has now responded to claims that Raavan and Hanuman in the movie have used ‘tapori’ words.

Watch the film’s trailer here:

Popular television series Ramayan was created by Ramanand Sagar, whose son has criticised Adipurush. In a recent interview, Prem Sagar recounted how his father created the show. Prem requested that Adipurush should be screened in Mumbai’s Breach Candy and Colaba but not elsewhere, referring to it as ‘today’s Ramayan.’ He added that it is not good to play with emotions of viewers. He also said that Krittivasi and Eknath also penned Ramayan but did not change the facts.

Prem Sagar revealed that he has not yet seen the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon movie. Hanuman speaks the line “Tel Tere Baap Ka, Jalegi Tere Baap Ki, Lanka Laga Denge” in the movie, and when Om Raut told him about it, he laughed and insulted him, stating that the director had tried to make a picture that was as amazing as possible. He continued by saying that although his father Ramanand Sagar, who created the television programme ‘Ramayan,’ (1987) also exercised creative freedom, he comprehended Lord Ram. He also discussed Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Raavan in the film. Raavan, he claimed, was a learned individual, and it was improper to portray him in a negative light.
