A Kolkata court on Monday, granted Bollywood actor Zareen Khan interim bail in a cheating case filed against her at Narkeldanga police station. However, the actor is not allowed to travel outside India without courts permission.According to the sources, the actor has been given the interim bail on personal bond of Rs 30,000. In addition to this, Khan has been instructed to appear before court at every hearing related to the case. Sealdah court in Kolkata has granted Khan interim bail till December 26, 2023.What is the case all aboutA case was brought against her in 2018, when Zareen Khan was supposed to play at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata. She did not, however, appear, despite the organisers waiting for her arrival.An FIR was eventually lodged, and one of the organisers had filed a written complaint accusing the Bollywood actress and her manager of cheating. According to police sources, Zareen Khan had also filed a lawsuit at a local court against the shows organisers.The actor said that she was forced to miss the performance due to a misunderstanding regarding airline tickets and other accommodations.Police filed a chargesheet against her after receiving a complaint against her at the Narkeldanga police station in Kolkata. Zareen Khan was also the subject of a previous arrest warrant, but she failed to show up in court.The court then mandated that she always appear in person before the magistrate.
