South India’s star, Thalapathy Vijay is known for delivering some of the most entertaining, thriller, action masterpieces to the silver screen. His upcoming film, ‘Leo’ has already been in the headlines. The Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial is all set to be released in October. However, the first single of the film is out. On June 22, the song Naa Ready from Leo was unveiled on actor Vijay’s birthday. As soon as the song was released, it was a chartbuster. But, here’s the shocker for the team, an activist named RTI Selvam has lodged a complaint against them for glorifying drug usage and rowdyism in the Naa Ready song.

First look of Leo unveiled on Vijay’s 49th birthday

On the occasion of Vijay’s 49th birthday, the filmmakers unveiled the first look of Leo and the song Nan Ready. The fans of actor Vijay were eagerly waiting to know whether the film was a part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).

Why activist RTI Selvam filed a complaint?

Taking notes from the latest song, activist RTI Selvam, hailing from Chennai’s Korukkuppettai, filed an online complaint on June 25 and submitted his petition on June 26. He urged the court to take serious actions against the makers of the film ‘Leo’ under the Narcotic Control Act.

In recent days, it is noted that Chennai police have organised several events across the city against the usage of drugs. Some actors also took part to fight the cause, including actors Karthi and Vijay Antony.

About the film ‘Leo’

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo is an action-thriller film, starring actors like Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, and Trisha in lead roles. The film will release in theatres on October 19, coinciding with the Ayudha Pooja weekend. The film is produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy and the music is scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
