Soon After receiving harsh criticism for his recent disparaging remarks against fellow actor Trisha Krishnan , well-known actor Mansoor Ali Khan , known for his negative portrayals, has formally apologised to her.
Mansoor Ali Khan was previously booked by police on suspicion of sexual harassment and of intentionally offending the modesty of a woman as a result of the issue.
Mansoor Ali Khan's comments had been harshly criticised by Trisha on social media, and she had vowed never to share screen time with him. A public quarrel resulted from the actor's statement that he was expecting bedroom scenes with Trisha in their movie Leo , but there weren't any. Furthermore, Mansoor Ali Khan had made the contentious claim that modern Tamil films do not have any scenes of rape involving villains.
With promptitude, the National Women's Commission lodged a police case against Mansoor Ali Khan. The South Indian Film Artists' Association, actor-politician Khushbu, actress Malavika Mohanan, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, singer Chinmayi, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj had all denounced Mansoor Ali Khan's recent remarks.
Mansoor Ali Khan has earlier asserted that his comments were misrepresented and staged in reaction to the growing criticism, especially since they were made public before the debut of his movie. He simply notes how women are portrayed differently in modern Tamil films and recognises the importance of having thoughtful conversations.
Now that Mansoor has realised how serious the matter is, Khan has publicly apologised to Trisha. The actor declares, "I've won" and "the Kalinga war is over," and he hopes to be able to bless Trisha's mangalsutra for her wedding.
