Actor Ajith Kumar’s racing passion: Dubai accident shakes fans | WATCH

Actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar escaped unhurt from a high-speed racing accident while training for the Dubai 24H race.

Actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar, who is all set to race in the world-famous Dubai 24H, was caught in a car accident that kept fans on their toes. The video that is doing the rounds shows how the speeding car went into the safety barrier and rotated several times before coming to a stop. It is fortunate enough that Ajith Kumar escaped this accident without sustaining any injuries as his manager confirms that he was "unhurt, hale, and healthy."

Ajith Kumar's love for racing

He has been passionate about motorsports since his school days. This early passion prompted him to abandon acting for sometime during the early 2000s to nurture this passion with racing. Presently, being the owner of Ajith Kumar Racing, the young man returns to the race track with thrills. Renowned drivers on his team list are Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod. The group is getting themselves ready for a test at Dubai 24H.

Incident details

Ajith was traveling at a speed of 180 km/h when he had the accident. The car struck the barrier, where it made seven wheelspin attempts before stalling. Ajith was immediately rescued and taken to an ambulance for check up. Fabian Duffieux, who took on the role of team manager in December, celebrated his team's strength, where he promised that the team had raised its level of commitment to safety and performance when it comes to motorsport. Ajith Kumar is a highly talented actor for the Tamil industry as well as for his avid racing enthusiasm. A career bedecked by several superhit movies, this is a guy who is thrilling on the track and screen also.

Thrilling movies in his bucket list

In addition to racing, Ajith has been busy with a couple of film projects. He has completed the shooting of two films: Vidaamuyarchi directed by Magizh Thirumeni and Good Bad Ugly by Adhik Ravichandran. The official release dates have not been announced, but the excitement is mainly building up for Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith with Trisha, to be released during the Pongal festival. Director Adhik Ravichandran recently posted a video of Ajith interacting with actor Sunil, along with the iconic Amarkalam song. The update has fans eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
