Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan officially announced the marriage of his daughter Ira Khans marriage which is scheduled to take place next year in an interview, as per media reports. Aamir also praised his daughters fiance Nupur Shikhare and said that he helped Ira battle depression.Ira Khan, daughter of Aamir Khan and former wife Reena Dutta got engaged to longtime partner Nupur Shikhare on November 18, 2022. The engagement was kept private and was attended only by their respective families. The ceremony was attended by Aamir, his ex-wife Kiran Rao, son Azad, Imran Khan, and more.Rumours around Iras wedding had been doing the rounds for the past few months. Aamir Khan said that the final date has been set for January 10 and also added that he thinks he will cry a lot at the wedding.Aamir Khan on Iras fianceAccording to Aamir, Iras fiance, Nupur is a lovely boy. He is a celebrity fitness trainer and had supported her when she was battling depression. Aamir also said that he is very happy that they are happy together. They are very well connected, they really look after each other and care for each other,” he added.Aamir further says that Nupur is like a son while saying that the dialogue may be a little filmy. “This might be a filmy dialogue, but I feel Nupur is like a son. Nupur is such a fine boy, we really feel hes part of the family and his mother, Pritam ji, is someone who is already a part of our family,” he said.While commenting on the wedding Amir also said that he is a very emotional fellow and that this wedding is going to be an emotional event for him. He said “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai. Discussions have already begun in the family that Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day) because I am very emotional. I cant control my smile nor my tears.”Ira and NupurIra and Nupur first met in 2020 and became good friends. Over the last three years, they spent quality time with each other. And after being in a relationship for a long time, they decided to formalise their union and make it official.Ira is the second child of Aamir with ex-wife Reena Dutta. They have another son named Junaid Khan, their firstborn. Aamir and Reena got married in 1986 and later separated in 2002. Following this Aamir married Kiran Rao on December 28, 2005.
