Sara Tendulkar, daughter of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, issued a statement regarding her deepfake photos that are being circulated across different social media platforms. Sara took to Instagram, informing her fans about the parody accounts on microblogging platforms X.

She wrote in an Instagram story, “Social media is a wonderful space for all of us to share our joys, sorrows, and daily activities. However, it is disconcerting to see the misuse of technology as it takes away from the truth and authenticity of the internet. I have come across some deepfake photos of me which are far from reality.”

Sara urges platform X to take action

The 26-year-old urged X to take action against her fake accounts, "A few accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have obviously been created with an intent to impersonate me and mislead people. I do not have an account on X, and I hope X looks into such accounts and suspends them."

Sara concluded, "Entertainment should never come at the expense of the truth. Let's encourage communication that’s based on trust and reality."

Sara Tendulkar's Instagram story has spread like wildfire across different social media platforms. Initially, she deleted her Instagram story and later posted it with some corrections. She is also rumored to be dating 26-year-old Shubman Gill.

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Kajol's deepfaked videos and images have surfaced on different social media platforms.
