Daboo Malik reacts to Amaal Malik cutting all ties with family (x/@filmfare)
Singer Amaal Malik recently opened up about having been diagnosed with clinical depression wrote a long note, explaining how his family has stifled him and accusing them of the increasing estrangement between him and his brother, singer Armaan Malik. His father, Daboo Malik, has now responded to Amaal distancing himself from the family.
Music director and music composer Daboo Malik ventured out onto Instagram on Saturday and posted a picture with his son Amaal. Although in the picture, Amaal was pecking on the cheek of his dad, Daboo enjoyed the moment of sweetness. The fans also responded to the post. Fan wrote, "Can't wait to see you all back together as one." Another comment was, "Best bond ever. Everything will work out. Good things come to good people like you."
Earlier, Amaal posted a revelation that he had severed ties with his family. He posted, "The behavior of my parents has been the reason we, as brothers, have become so far apart from one another. In the last many years, they have never missed an opportunity to disrupt my peace and undermine my friendships, relationships, attitude, and self-esteem. But I just kept moving ahead because I know I can, and I feel I'm invincible." Additionally informing us of his clinical depression diagnosis, he penned, "But today, I stand at a place where I have been deprived of my peace, exhausted emotionally, and perhaps financially as well—but that's the least of my concerns.
What actually concerns me is that I am clinically depressed due to these events. Yes, I have only myself to blame for my deeds, but my self-esteem has been depleted countless times by the deeds of near and dear ones who plundered fragments of my soul." He also revealed that he was severing all personal relationships with his family, "From today onwards, my dealings with my family will be purely professional. This is not a decision of anger, but one born out of the need to heal and take back my life. I will not allow the past take away my future anymore. I am determined to rebuild my life, brick by brick, in honesty and in strength." Nevertheless, Amaal later deleted the post and asked media portals not to harass his family.
