Following his defeat in Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock at the YSR Congress party's loss in the assembly elections on Tuesday, even though the party had carried out several welfare schemes "without any trace of corruption."
With a majority of more than 61,000 votes, Jagan won the Pulivendula assembly segment and reaffirmed the party's will to overcome this setback and carry on serving the people.

Conceding the defeat, he said that the party will now be the voice of the voiceless.

He said "I am ready to face the challenges. All the very best to the people (parties) who came to the government (came to power)," he stated while asserting that the party will be determined and will face the obstacles ahead. Jagan further declared, "YSR Congress Party will act as the voice of the voiceless," highlighting its dedication to representing the marginalized sections of society.
