Days after Lok Sabha election 2024 results, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is holding a significant meeting, with N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), urging all TDP MPs to attend.

This move comes as the TDP and BJP are renewing their alliance after Naidu met with senior BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and JP Nadda. The renewed partnership is seen as a strategic step ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, aimed at consolidating their political strength in Andhra Pradesh.

Notably, the TDP alone won 16 MP seats in Andhra Pradesh, while the NDA alliance of TDP, BJP and Janasena collectively won 21 out of 25 seats.

It is worth noting that the crucial meeting is happening just a couple of days ahead when Narendra Modi is likely to take oath as Prime Minister for his third term on Sunday, June 9. Sources also claim that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who arrived in Delhi on June 6 to attend the meet, is likely to stay till the swearing-in ceremony.

Sources also claim that soon after Modi is elected the leader of NDA MPs, the senior members of the alliance such as Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar will join the Prime Minister to present the list of parliamentarians supporting him to President Droupadi Murmu.

Worth noting here is that TDP chief Naidu and JD-U’s Supreme Nitish Kumar have emerged as ‘Kingmaker’ in the formation of the government at the Centre. Apart from this, both the ‘Kingmakers’ have asked for the special state status for their respective states. However, an official statement on this is awaited.

Another BJP ally and Leader of the LJP (R), Chirag Paswan, who is said to be a potential Cabinet candidate, asserted his unconditional support for Modi and said that the NDA gained a majority under his direction.

On Friday, Chirag Paswan, all NDA constituents are expected to submit letters to the President endorsing Modi as the next prime minister.
