Following the conclusion of voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections, a significant incident has surfaced from Etah. Sources report that an individual was subjected to brutal assault allegedly for casting their vote in favor of Modi. The assault left the victim severely injured, necessitating hospitalization.

The victim's son, in his statement, recounted a recent altercation with the accused regarding the voting issue. Allegedly, the victim's father, Ramkishor Shakya, mentioned voting in support of Modi, triggering anger among the accused individuals. This anger led to a physical assault on the victim.

The incident unfolded in the Malawan area, with the victim identified as Ramkishor Shakya. Reports indicate that on Monday, while the victim was in the field, the accused attacked him over the voting choices associated with Modi and Yogi.

In response to the assault, the victim's son, Jitendra, lodged a formal complaint against the unnamed accused individuals at the local police station. He detailed the allegations of assault, specifically naming Pinky Yadav's son Omkar Yadav and his brother Nandu Yadav for their purported involvement due to not voting for the Samajwadi Party candidate.
