Routes to avoid! Delhi Police shares traffic restrictions for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 counting day

Delhi traffic police have issued a traffic advisory keeping safety and security during the counting of votes in the national capital when the counting will be done at all seven centers. According to the advisory, adequate traffic personnel will be deployed on the roads to assist people.

The restrictions have been issued for the following areas:

According to the update, the counting of votes will be conducted at Netaji Subhash University of Technology, Sector- 03, Dwarka, which may affect the traffic on surrounding roads. Traffic restrictions will apply from 6 am to 8 pm.

Apart from this, traffic will be restricted at Shahbad, Daulatpur, and Bawana Road. Diversion points will be at St. Xavier School Red Light, True Value Red Light Sector-26, Rohini.

In addition to this, vehicles will not be allowed to stop at Bhai Vir Singh Marg, Kali Bari Marg, or Gol Market Circle. The wrong parked vehicles will be towed and strict action will be taken against the owner.

People who are going towards ISBT/Railway Stations/ Airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand, as per DP advice.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police has also requested the commuters to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads, if possible, and make maximum use of public transport to ensure a safe journey. People who are going towards ISBT/Railway Stations/ Airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand.
