The President accepted the resignation and requested him and the Union Council of Ministers to continue in office till the new Government is formed.According to media reports, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal-United (JDU), who are seen as possible kingmakers, have approved the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Thus, it is anticipated that PM Modi may take oath for office for his third term on June 8. It is expected that the TDP and JDU will both formally present letters of support to the BJP at an upcoming meeting of the alliance that is scheduled for Wednesday.Notably, the result for the 543 parliamentary constituencies was announced by the Election Commission of India on Tuesday, where BJP emerged with 240 seats, while the Congress party secured 99 seats. However, 400 Paar has been proven wrong this time as the victory tally fell short of impressive as compared to 2019, when the party won 303 seats.
