Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, claimed on Friday that Narendra Modi seems "very uncomfortable" at his talks these days and that he would even cry on stage. Rahul Gandhi said, "These days, Narendra Modi remains quite uneasy throughout his talks," while speaking at a rally in Bijapur, Karnataka. Perhaps in a few days, he will cry on stage." Additionally, the Congress MP charged that PM Modi was using a variety of strategies to "divert public attention" while neglecting important problems like unemployment, poverty, and price increases.

Modi divides people?

"Modi wants to take your focus elsewhere. Gandhi remarked, "He will sometimes pound plates and order you to turn on the torch light on your cell phones, and other times he will talk about China and Pakistan. Rahul Gandhi's statement coincides with a number of Congress leaders asserting that PM Modi has shifted his emphasis from his "400 Paar" seat pitch following the first round of Lok Sabha elections.

In the run-up to the second round of the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi made statements referring to the Muslim minority that the Congress will divide the country's riches between "those who have more children" and infiltrators. In addition, the prime minister stated that if the Congress were elected to power, the party would divide the SC and ST reservations among Muslims.

Congress and the stakes

Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress, claimed earlier this week that Prime Minister Modi's demand for more than 400 seats was intended to get the two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha, which is necessary to amend the Constitution. "He (PM Modi) is shouting '400 paar,' since a two-thirds majority is needed to amend the Constitution. At a Karnataka rally, Kharge stated, "Modi is saying '400 paar' to obtain that two-thirds majority."
