Why Dry Day?

Dry days are typically observed during elections in India, including Lok Sabha elections, to maintain law and order and prevent the influence of alcohol on voters. These restrictions are implemented in various regions, including Delhi, Gurugram, and Faridabad, ahead of the election phases.

During dry days, the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited. This measure aims to ensure a fair and peaceful electoral process. Voters are encouraged to comply with these regulations to support the democratic process and maintain harmony in the electoral environment.

Residents and visitors in these areas need to stay informed about the dry days and adhere to the guidelines to avoid any inconvenience or legal implications.
