Never underestimate the power of a common man: YouTuber Dhruv Rathee tweets on Lok Sabha election results

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to form the government for the third time with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing 292 seats out of 543 in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. But the victory for the party was merely a narrow escape with NDA's ship reaching the shores before sinking, surpassing all the claims that the exit polls had made. Amid all speculations, secret meetings and conspiracies, the aftermath of the elections is going to be a roller-coaster ride.

One such individual who had gained immense popularity with his series of videos urging the voters to exercise their right to vote, called the result a victory of the common man in his post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Who is Dhruv Rathee? 

A mechanical engineer by profession, Rathee kickstarted his YouTube journey as a travel vlogger. He was attracted to politics after Anna Hazare's protests and started drifting from making travel videos to creating political stories. He has been critical about the deteriorating condition of the Indian media and has been viewed as 'Indian PM's most formidable critic' during the current polls, making a wide array of videos on topics like Is India the Vishwaguru? Exit poll figures fail 

The figures that were presented in the exit polls were entirely different from what the results turned out to be. The Congress, which was shown sailing a sinking ship, improved its performance tremendously while the NDA, though managed to secure its third term, it lagged far behind its '400 ka paar' aim.
