New Delhi: Narendra Modi is set to be sworn in as Prime Minister on Sunday evening. The ceremony will commence at 7:15 PM at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Alongside Modi, several ministers from his new cabinet, dubbed Modi 3.0, will also take the oath. Since this morning, calls have been going out to various MPs, with 49 names confirmed so far.
According to sources, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Jayant Chaudhary, and Anupriya Patel are among those likely to be inducted as ministers. Calls have also been made to key figures such as Nitin Gadkari, Sudesh Mahato, HD Kumaraswamy, Rajnath Singh, Prahlad Joshi, Ram Mohan Naidu, and P Chandrashekhar. Sources indicate that the BJP has asked its allies to hold off on pressing demands, which will be addressed in the second phase of cabinet expansion. It has been agreed that each party will get a specific share in the cabinet. According to reports, one cabinet minister and one minister of state will be appointed from the quotas of Chandrababu Naidu's TDP and Nitish Kumar's JDU.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet leaders of his allies and potential ministers over tea at his residence at 11:30 AM today. This meeting will further solidify the composition of the new cabinet.
