With just a few hours left for the Lok Sabha election results, the early trends show that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed in its campaign strategy for the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal. As per data from Election Commission, Trinamoon Congress is leading on 30 seats in Mamata's strong hold state.

West Bengal contributes 42 Lok Sabha seats in the 543-member Parliament, where the Bharatiya Janata Party was planning to dislodge Mamata Banerjee from Bengal and even targeted the TMC government over Sandeshkhali, but the trends till 2 pm showed that BJP is staying behind.

As per ECI, the Trinamool Congress is leading on 30 seats, BJP on 10 Congress on 1, and CPI(M) on one seat.
In early trends, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is demonstrating a strong performance across multiple constituencies in West Bengal. TMC is leading in Baharampur, Dum Dum, Jadavpur, Asansol, Birbhum, Krishnanagar, and Diamond Harbour.

According to the data released by ECI, TMC candidates Sougata Ray and Sayani Ghosh are leading in Dum Dum and Jadavpur, respectively, while Yusuf Pathan of the TMC has established a sizable lead in Baharampur. Shatrughan Prasad Sinha, a former actor turned politician, is leading the TMC in Asansol.

TMC candidates Satabdi Roy and Mahua Moitra are leading in Birbhum and Krishnanagar, respectively. The most noteworthy lead may be found at Diamond Harbour, where Abhishek Banerjee, Mamata Banerjee's nephew from West Bengal, is leading by an incredible amount.

However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trailing in several constituencies including Barrackpur, Hooghly, and Medinipur.

Meanwhile, the counting across the country is underway and the results will be announced today itself.
