In the latest update on Sunday, the Congress party disclosed its 15th list of contenders for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Among them, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi emerges as the candidate for the Jalandhar constituency. Meanwhile, Kanhaiya Kumar, the former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU), secures the nomination for the North East Delhi seat.

Congress' Delhi contenders

The Congress party also revealed its nominees for two other crucial constituencies in Delhi. J P Agarwal will be representing the party in the Chandni Chowk constituency, while Udit Raj will contest from North West Delhi.

Seat-sharing with AAP

Notably, the Congress has entered into a seat-sharing arrangement with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi. Under this pact, the Congress will vie for three seats, while the AAP will field candidates in four constituencies, namely West Delhi, New Delhi, South Delhi, and East Delhi.

Regional representation

Additionally, the Congress has nominated candidates for seats in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. In Punjab, Gurjeet Singh Aujla will contest from Amritsar, Amar Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib, Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu from Bhatinda, Sukhpal Singh Khaira from Sangrur, and Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi from Patiala.
