Before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP's New Joining Team campaign in Madhya Pradesh was gaining significant momentum. On Saturday, 6th April, the BJP achieved a milestone by enrolling more Congress members into its New Joining Team than initially anticipated. Surpassing the 400 mark in its slogans, the BJP demonstrated a robust campaign strategy, signaling its aggressive stance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party's senior leaders were actively preparing to secure victory in the 2024 polls, utilizing both social media publicity and an organized New Joining Team campaign.
The BJP's New Joining Team campaign was strategically crafted on the principles of Sam-Dam-Dand-Bhed, marking a historic achievement. The campaign had forecasted 1 lakh Congress members joining on the BJP's foundation day. Notably, the campaign extended beyond Congress, welcoming members from various parties and fields. On Saturday, 6th April, concerted efforts were made to enroll Congress members and individuals from other parties at the booth level across Madhya Pradesh.
Under the BJP's New Joining Team, aspiring members were officially inducted into the party, with notable figures like Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav and former Home Minister Narottam Mishra present during the enrollment ceremonies. The New Joining Team attracted stalwart Congress leaders, leaders from diverse parties, social organizations, and professionals influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, nationalism, development initiatives, and work ethics.
Over the past three months, the BJP's New Joining Team witnessed a surge, with more than 2,58,525 people joining its ranks. Narottam Mishra, the coordinator of the New Joining Team, highlighted that over 90% of these new members were former Congress affiliates. This ongoing trend of party switching underscored the BJP's growing influence and outreach strategy.
The BJP's concerted efforts resulted in an overwhelming response, with over 1,26,000 individuals joining the party in a single day, including members from Congress, social organizations, and officials. This surge in membership, predominantly from Congress, left the main opposition party in Madhya Pradesh, Congress, in a challenging position ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Under the leadership of Narottam Mishra, the BJP's New Joining Team campaign continued to expand daily, whereas the Congress faced diminishing numbers. Mishra claimed that over 2,50,000 individuals had joined the BJP in three months, with ambitious targets set to surpass the 400 mark, reflecting the party's comprehensive approach to its strategies and campaigns in Madhya Pradesh.
