Gopinath K wins with 192486 Votes Lead

The final tally in Krishnagiri shows Gopinath K of Indian Nation Congress won with 492883 votes and Narshimha C of Bhartiya Janata Party lost the battle standing at 2,14,125. 

Krishnagiri is one of the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu, designated as number 9. Until 2009, the Krishnagiri Lok Sabha constituency comprised six legislative assembly constituencies: Uthangarai (SC),  Bargur, Krishnagiri, Veppanahalli, Hosur, and Thalli.  The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The INC, the ADMK are the main parties in the constituency. From 1971 to 1991, the Krishnagiri Lok Sabha seat was dominated by the Congress party. Although initially considered a Congress stronghold, the DMK gradually established its influence.
