Voting for the first phase at 102 Lok Sabha constituencies across 21 states is underway and will go on till 6 pm. According to the recent updates, West Bengal has recorded 33.56% of voting, whereas Lakshadweep has witnessed the lowest percentage with 16.33%.
According to the election commission, the voting percentage for the other states till 11 am is as follows:
Uttar Pradesh- 25.20%, Tripura- 33.28%, Tamil Nadu- 23.72%, Sikkim- 21.20%, Rajasthan- 22.51%, Puducheery- 27.63%, Nagaland- 22.50%, Mizoram- 25.94%, Meghalaya- 31.65%, Maharashtra- 19.17%, Chhattisgarh- 28.12%, Bihar- 20.42%, Assam- 27.22%, Arunachal Pradesh- 18.03%, Andaman & Nicobar- 21.82%, Madhya Pradesh- 30.46%, Jammu and Kashmir- 22.60%.
The voters can exercise their vote until 6 pm. According to the official data, released by the Election Commission of India, a total of 1.87 lakh polling stations have been set up, while 18 lakh personnel have been deployed across the 102 constituencies going to the polls.
Notably, the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in seven phases and the results for the share will be announced on June 4.
