The results of Lok Sabha elections 2024 have come and it has been concluded with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a total of 240 seats. Despite this being fewer than anticipated, the BJP maintained a decisive lead over the Opposition, Congress, which garnered 99 seats.
In all, 78 Muslim contenders ran in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024. Eleven Muslim candidates have become victorious in the election. Yusuf Pathan, a cricket player, has also performed admirably in political batting. Yusuf, a Berhampur native running on a TMC ticket, defeated Congress veteran Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury by a significant majority. Hyderabad has once again produced a winner in Asaduddin Owaisi. By a margin of more than three lakh votes, Owaisi defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Madhavi Lata Kompella.
Talking about the country's largest state Uttar Pradesh, SP's Afzal Ansari has won from the Ghazipur seat. He has defeated BJP's Paras Nath. Congress' Imran Masood from Saharanpur has defeated BJP's Raghav Lakhanpal by more than 64 thousand votes. Iqra Chaudhary of SP defeated Pradeep Kumar of BJP from Kairana. Mohibullah of SP has won from Rampur.
In Bihar, Tariq Anwar of Congress has defeated Dulal Chandra Goswami of JD-U of BJP by about 49 thousand votes from the Katihar seat. Mohammad Javed of Congress has won against Mujahid Alam of JD-U from the Kishanganj seat. Mohammad Basheer of the Indian Union Muslim League from Malappuram in Kerala has defeated V Vaseef of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) by a margin of 300118 votes.
