Samajwadi Party candidate, Dimple Yadav emerged victorious in the Mainpuri constituency of Uttar Pradesh, winning by an impressive margin of 2,21,639 votes. Her win has not only brought joy to her supporters but also signaled a major shift in the political landscape of the region.
After her win, Dimple Yadav expressed her gratitude and optimism. She stated, "Mainpuri has chosen a positive politics." This sentiment resonated with many, reflecting a broader shift towards positive campaigning and governance.
Addressing questions about the election results, Dimple Yadav pointed out the notable defeats of several central and state ministers from the BJP. She remarked, "The country is seeing a ray of hope in the India Alliance," suggesting a growing faith in the opposition coalition's potential to bring about change at the national level.

Dimple Yadav also spoke about the big impact of her husband Akhilesh Yadav's PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpashankyak) slogan, which translates to the coalition of backward classes, Dalits, and minorities. She credited this inclusive approach for the SP's strong performance across Uttar Pradesh.
When asked about the prospects of forming a government, Dimple Yadav expressed confidence. "We are very close to the majority. It is a national level responsibility to decide how to take it forward," she said.
The election results saw the strong presence of the Yadav family in the political arena. Dimple Yadav's win in Mainpuri was part of a broader trend, with several family members leading in other constituencies.
Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple's husband, is leading by a big margin of 170,076 votes over BJP's Subrat Pathak in Kannauj, according to Election Commission figures. This lead reinforces the SP's strong foothold in the region.
In Badaun, Shivpal Yadav's son, Aditya Yadav, is leading BJP's Durvijay Singh Shakya by 35,252 votes as of 7 PM. Initially, the SP had given the ticket to Shivpal Yadav, but later it was passed on to his son Aditya, reflecting the family's deep political engagement.
