INC supremo Rahul Gandhi set for landslide victory in Wayanad, Raebareli

In the state of Kerala, there are twenty Lok Sabha seats, including Wayand. Rahul Gandhi, the current Member of Parliament, won the seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with a vote margin of almost 40%, solidifying Wayanad's status as a Congress stronghold since 2009.

According to preliminary figures, Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, won the Wayanad constituency with 647445 votes and leads Rae Bareli with 687649 votes. In the constituency, Gandhi is facing off against Annie Raja of the CPI and K. Surendran of the BJP. Both are faring much worse than before. For Kerala's National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Indian National Congress (INC), the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are critical. On April 26, the state held elections in which 20 Lok Sabha seats were up for grabs. The voter turnout was 70.35%, compared to 77.84% in 2019.

Who won the 2029 elections?

In an attempt to duplicate his victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congressman Rahul Gandhi is running again from the Wayanad seat in Kerala, where he received 706,367 votes.  He is also running from Raebareli, the safest Congress seat in Uttar Pradesh, which his mother, UPA chairwoman Sonia Gandhi, formerly held from 2004 to 2019. Against Dinesh Pratap Singh of the BJP, Sonia Gandhi won the seat in 2019 by a margin of more than 1.5 lakh votes.

At a press conference in Delhi, Congressman Mallikarjun Kharge and party MP Rahul Gandhi will discuss the opposition INDIA bloc's fierce campaign against the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha elections. At 5:30 p.m., the two leaders of Congress will speak to the media at the party headquarters.

Rahul swept Rae Bareli

Rahul Gandhi swept Rae Bareli with 389341 leading votes against the BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh. There were 17,84,314 registered voters in the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, with 9,31,427 men, 8,52,851 women, and 36 people of a third gender represented on the electoral lists. There were 17,02,248 registered voters for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with 9,31,427 men, 8,06,066 women, and 50 members of the third gender.

In this constituency, 15,94,954 people were registered to vote in the 2014 elections. Of them, 8,57,875 were men, 7,37,017 were women, and 62 identified as the third gender. There were 13,79,507 electors in total in the 2009 polls, with 6,45,861 women and 7,33,646 men.  In the Raebareli, Raibareilly Lok Sabha seat, there were 4,346 service voters in 2019.
