In the unfolding political narrative, unexpected shifts have surfaced. It has challenged the anticipated trajectory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections. Contrary to projections, the BJP's path to a majority on its own, seems uncertain, with Uttar Pradesh emerging as a pivotal battleground.

Notably, setbacks loom large in Rajasthan and Haryana, once strongholds where the party previously triumphed. However, amidst these challenges, the BJP has held its ground in Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, its noteworthy advances in Odisha and Telangana not only provide consolation but also bolster the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), ensuring a competitive edge in the race to the elusive magic figure.

Here are the five big guns who are trailing behind:  

Smriti Irani: Bharatiya Janata Party's Smriti Irani has received 3,35,986  votes and she is trailing with 1,43,960 votes from Amethi Lok Sabha seat. Indian National Congress's Kishor Lal is leading with 4,79,946  votes.

Upendra Kushwaha: Rashtriya Lok Morcha's Upendra Kushwaha has received 1,52,640 votes and he is trailing with 70, 305 votes from Bihar's Karakat Lok Sabha seat. He is trailing behind CPI (ML) Raja Ram Singh. He has received 2,25,750 votes.

Prajwal Revanna: Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna, who is also accused in a sex scandal case is trailing with 43,738 votes. He has received 6,26,536 votes. Meanwhile, Congress' Shreyas M Patel is leading in Hassan's Lok Sabha seat. He has received 6,70,274 votes.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury: Indian National Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is trailing in West Bengal's Baharampur Lok Sabha Elections. He is trailing with 44,286 votes. Meanwhile, All India Trinamool Congress' candidate and former Indian Cricketer Yusuf Pathan is leading. He has received 3,66,840 votes. 

Navneet Ravi Rana: Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Navneet Ravi Rana is trailing behind Indian National Congress candidate Balwant Baswant Wankhade. Navneet has received 3,55,776 votes and is trailing by 16,101 votes. Meanwhile, Balwant Baswant Wankhade has received 3,71,877 votes. 

Rajeev Chandrasekhar: Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology of India Rajeev Chandrasekhar is trailing behind INC's veteran leader Shashi Tharoor. Rajeev Chandrasekhar has received 3,37,920 votes and he is trailing by 15,759 votes. Meanwhile, Sashi Tharoor has received 3,53,679 votes.
