Nitin Gadkari's campaigning

Nitin Gadkari's collapse occurred amid the fervent campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. He was actively supporting Rajashree Patil, the candidate from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction of the Shiv Sena. Patil is the chosen representative of the ruling Mahayuti alliance for the Yavatmal constituency.

Gadkari, who previously won the Nagpur seat in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019, was lending his support to the alliance's candidate in Yavatmal.
