With just a few hours left for phase II of Lok Sabha elections in 89 constituencies spread across 13 states and Union Territories, several businesses are offering rewards for voters’ participation in the democratic process.
Several hospitals and restaurants in Noida and Greater Noida are coming together to encourage people to vote and get rewarded. Led by the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) in collaboration with over two dozen restaurants announced up to 20 percent discounts on food bills and health checkups.
According to the guidelines, to avail of the offer the voter simply has to show the inked finger at the participating restaurants to avail of the ‘Democracy Discount’ on April 26 and 27.
Whereas in Bengaluru, where over 1 crore people are eligible to cast their vote are being offered free mugs of beer and discounts at partner restaurants. Nisarga Grand Hotel on Nrupatunga Road is offering free dosa, ghee rice, and beverages to the voters on April 26. The voters can avail of the discount on April 27 and 28.
Not just this, famous taxi aggregator Rapido has announced free rides to differently able people and senior citizens voters in Bengaluru.
BMRCL also announced that services for the Namma Metro will also be extended on April 26. The last train for all the terminals will leave at 11:55 pm. The last train from Majestic interchange to all four directions will leave at 12:35 am (April 27).
Felix Hospitals in Noida's Sector 137 announced the "Vote for Healthy India" offer, where voters can avail 100% discount, up to Rs 6,500 for a free health check. Felix Hospitals CEO and chairman Dr D K Gupta said that voters can avail of the discount between April 26 to April 30.
