Manifesto Release and PM Modi's Statements

The release of the BJP's manifesto, named 'Sankalp Patra,' for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2024 coincided with BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary. At the manifesto launch event, PM Modi referred to it as 'Vksit Bharat ka sankalp.' He assured the continuation of the free ration scheme for the next five years, branding it as "Modi's guarantee."

Enhanced Safety Measures for Bullet Trains

Additionally, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) announced plans to implement an advanced wind speed monitoring system along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train route. This system, strategically positioned at 14 critical points, includes river bridges and areas prone to sudden gusts. The installation of anemometers, devices specialising in wind speed monitoring, is a critical component of the Disaster Prevention System.

Anemometers, integral to passenger safety, provide real-time wind speed data covering a range from 0 to 252 kilometres per hour. Notably, adjustments in train speeds will occur if wind speeds fall within the range of 72 to 130 kilometres per hour, ensuring the safety and security of passengers remain the top priority throughout the bullet train journey.
