Born on November 29, 1973, in Uttar Pradesh, Jitin Prasad embarked on his political journey that saw him ascend to the position of Indian politician and Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister. His foray into mainstream politics was punctuated by his appointment as the Minister of State in the Human Resources Department of the Government of India during the UPA regime. Notably, he represented the Dhaurahara constituency in the 15th Lok Sabha. Subsequently, in 2004, he clinched his maiden parliamentary victory from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in the 14th Lok Sabha elections. His induction as the Minister of State for Steel catapulted him into the limelight, cementing his status as one of the youngest ministers at the time.
