Wipro has introduced an AI-first ecosystem called Wipro ai360 and aims to include AI into every platform or solution it utilises both internally and as part of client solutions. The business will spend $1 billion on this over the following three years to improve AI capabilities, according to the statement released by the company on July 12.

Over the upcoming year, the tech giant said it will teach all 2.5 of its employees in AI basics and safe usage of AI.

It is to be noted here that the announcement comes from Wipro almost a week after rival Tata Consultancy Services said it planned to train its 25,000 engineers to get them certified on Microsoft’s Azure Open AI.

The big IT company claimed that the investments would be used to grow AI, its data and analytics solutions, create new R&D and platforms, and improve the capabilities of FullStride Cloud and Consulting.

It will use resources from the cloud, partnerships, data analytics, artificial intelligence, design and consultancy, cybersecurity, and engineering to create new solutions and integrate AI into all procedures and practices.

This is the most recent in a long line of IT corporations’ investments in AI technology, at a time when generative AI has the potential to drastically change the business landscape.

According to the statement, the platform will bring together over 30,000 workforces working on data analytics and AI from the company’s four major business lines.

The company also claims that this investment will help in advancing its foundation in AI, data, and analytics capabilities.
