Recently, many reports about Aadhaar cards have been circulating on various social media platforms. The reports claim that if your Aadhaar card has not been updated in the last 10 years. It will become invalid after June 14, 2024. This has left many people wondering if they will be able to use their Aadhar cards after this date. Now, UIDAI has provided several updates regarding Aadhaar card renewal. 

What UIDAI has said? 

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the Aadhaar card issuing agency, has said that those citizens of India whose Aadhaar card has not been updated for the last 10 years should get their information updated. This is the reason why the agency has given the option to update your old Aadhaar card online for free till June 14.

Last date to update 

UIDAI has clarified that June 14 is only the last date to update Aadhaar card for free and after this the old Aadhaar card will not become useless. The only thing is that after this date, Aadhar card will not be updated for free. Card holders will be able to update it online or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center.

Need to update

Of course, your old Aadhaar card has not become useless and you can still use it as an identity, still the old Aadhaar card must be updated. If you got Aadhaar made before 10 years, then you have the option to update information ranging from demographic to biometric. You can do this with the necessary documents.
