On Tuesday, the oil marketing companies kept the prices of petrol and diesel constant in almost all major cities across India.

The latest price of petrol and diesel in Delhi cost ₹96.72 and ₹89.62 a litre, respectively. In Mumbai, petrol is being sold for ₹106.31 per litre and diesel for ₹94.27. Petrol and diesel are priced at ₹102.63 and ₹94.24 in Chennai and at ₹106.03 and ₹92.76 in Kolkata.

At present, petrol in Noida has become ₹97.00 and diesel ₹90.14 per litre. In Ghaziabad, the price of diesel has become ₹96.58 per litre and diesel has become ₹89.75 per litre. In Lucknow, petrol has become ₹96.57 and diesel ₹89.76 per litre.

While, in Patna, petrol has become ₹107.24 and diesel ₹94.04 per litre. In Chandigarh, diesel has become ₹96.20 per litre and diesel ₹84.26 per litre. Petrol in Bhopal has become ₹108.65 and diesel ₹93.90 per litre. Petrol in Port Blair has become ₹84.10 and diesel ₹79.74 per litre.

Since May 21, 2021, the oil prices have been unchanged, and are announced every day at 6 am. However, sometimes it fluctuates from state to state owing to the varied Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, local taxes, etc.

Moreover, in 2021, the union government reduced the central excise duty on petrol and diesel by ₹8 per litre and ₹6 per litre respectively.
