The oil companies reveal the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am, regardless of whether there has been any change or remained constant. However, these prices get affected due to factors like value-added tax (VAT), freight charges, and local taxes in every state.In Delhi, the price of petrol stands at Rs 96.72 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 89.62 per litre on October 7.Whereas, in Mumbai, petrol has continued to retail above Rs 100 at Rs 106.31 for a litre, while diesel will be sold at Rs 94.27 per litre, on October 7.Price of petrol in Bengaluru stands at Rs 101.94 and Rs 87.89 for diesel.In Hyderabad, the petrol will be sold at Rs 109.66 and diesel stands at Rs 87.89.Whereas, in Noida, petrol will be priced at Rs 96.65 and diesel will be sold at 89.82.Notably, the prices of petrol and diesel has not seen much change after government cut down the rate of tax in 2022. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) take the decision of change in fuel retail prices every day at 6 am in accordance with the price of crude oil throughout the world. But it gets controlled with excise tax, base pricing, and price caps, government controls fuel prices.
