Google and Microsoft already have CEOs of Indian origin. YouTubes new CEO has been announced. Indian-origin Neil Mohan has been named the companys CEO. He has been employed by Google since 2008. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as YouTubes Chief Product Officer.Indian-origin Neal Mohan will replace CEO Susan Wojcicki as she heads to Google Advisor. Both are former employees of YouTubes parent company, Google. Susan Wojcicki has been with Google since its inception, and Neal Mohan joined in 2008 when Google acquired ad platform DoubleClick, where he served as senior vice president of strategy and product management. Neal Mohan took up the charge of Googles display and video advertising business. Under him, the business became on of the largest and fastest growing venture.In 2011, he was offered the job from Twitter, which shows that competitors were watching him but he ended up saying no to the offer. According to media reports, Google gave him 100 million US dollars in stock grants to retain him, and he stayed. In 1996, he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in electrical engineering. Following that, in 2005, he earned his MBA from Stanford University. In 1996, Neil began his career with Accenture. He then worked for a number of other companies.Google gave Neal Mohan 100 million US dollarIn the year 2007, Neal was working in a company named Double Click. Google bought this company. This is where his relationship with Google began. In 2013, Neal was appointed Googles Vice President of Advertising Products. In the same year, he was approached by Twitter, which he ended up saying no to. As soon as Googles top executives came to know about this offer, they gave Neal a bonus of 100 million dollars i.e. around Rs 544 crore at that time. This bonus was given to Neal for not leaving the company.
