National UPI outage: Users face difficulties while making Payments on GPay, Paytm

Several Indians are struggling to make UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions as (UPI) services across apps is unavailable for many users nationwide. The outrage has hit PhonePe, Paytm and Google Pay users hard. The outrage began at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.

One of them stated, "I am at a packed restaurant at rush hour, GPay is not working, I have no money on me, and the cashier is looking at me." As per Downdetector, more than 3,000 users reported to have complained with the UPI. Likewise, there were 119 complaints regarding Paytm app, whereas 376 users complained regarding outage on State Bank of India platform. Most SBI users complained regarding funds transfer and online banking services getting impacted. Not Banks, or gateways, but @UPI_NPCI itself btw, uptime was 100% in feb," an X user, wrote on the social media platform.
