Multi-Millionaire Gautam Singhania announces divorce after 32 years of marriage

Industrialist Gautam Singhania on Monday has announced split from wife Nawaz Modi after 32 years of marriage. Singhania, 58, was married to Nawaz Modi, daughter of solicitor Nadar Modi, in 1999. 

“This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past,” the chairman and managing director of the Raymond Group, the world's largest producer of suiting fabric mentioned in his post on X.

The tweet further reads, “32 years of being together as a couple, growing as parents and always being a source of strength to each other... we traversed with commitment, resolve, faith as along came the two most beautiful additions of our lives. It is my belief that Nawaz and I will pursue different paths from here on...”

He also requested people to respect their decision of separation. However, he did not disclose the custody of the children. 
Minutes before posting this news on his social media account, he announced the expansion of the presence of his company. The tweet reads, “Our real estate arm @RaymondRealtyIN continues to expand its presence across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region post the amazing success we have seen in the last couple of years.”

“We have secured 3 new real estate projects in the Region, with a combined revenue potential of over INR 5,000 crore ($678 million). Our realty business has seen a strong growth trajectory over the last couple of projects and we are confident of delivering on the highest level of quality and finesse associated with Raymond Group for the upcoming projects.”

Vijaypat Singhania, founded the Raymond Group which produces apparels brands and textiles. In attempt to widen the revenue to the company his son, Gautam diversified the group into more sectors.
